Side Event dengan tema Tapping Potential: Empowering Rural Communities through Accessible Water Financing dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 23 Mei 2024. Hadir sebagai narasumber pada pertemuan ini antara lain Rachmad Hidayat dari Water.pu.go.id, Irwan Eka Wijaya selaku CEO Bank UMKM Jawa Timur, Ratih Anggraeni, Head of Climate and Water Stewardship Danone Aqua, Dian Kusuma Adi Winata, Head of Risk Management Division PT. Jamkrida Jawa Tengah dan Edy Mulyono, Ketua BPSPAM Desa Rowosari Kab. Pemalang.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam keynotes nya Direktur Air Minum menyampaikan bahwa upaya untuk menjamin keberlanjutan dan mempercepat penyediaan akses air minum kepada masyarakat perdesaan adalah penguatan kapasitas pengelola SPAM di tingkat masyarakat dan pengembangan alternatif pembiayaan air minum. Dicontohkan tentang Kegiatan Pamsimas yang telah berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak untuk mengakses alternatif pembiayaan untuk pengembangan layanan air minum di desa-desa Pamsimas. Dijelaskan juga bahwa dalam pengembangan pembiayaan dari Lembaga Keuangan, Direktorat Air Minum telah bekerjasama dengan Water.pu.go.id untuk memberikan advokasi, pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada Lembaga Keuangan tentang kegiatan pengelolaan air minum yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Pengelola SPAM ditingkat Masyarakat adalah pasar potensial untuk kredit air minum. Disampaikan juga, sampai dengan April 2024, besar dana yang disalurkan oleh Lembaga Keuangan untuk kredit air minum sudah mencapai Rp. 22,7 Millyar. Saat ini sudah ada sebanyak 32 Lembaga Keuangan yang memiliki produk\/skim kredit air minum, 519 Kelompok SPAM yang meminjam dan 636 pembiayaan\/kredit.<\/p>\n<p>Diakhir pertemuan seluruh peserta berharap agar Pembangunan air minum aman yang berkelanjutan khususnya di wilayah perdesaan dapat dipercepat dan diwujudkan, dan kolaborasi yang sudah terbangun dapat terus berjalan dan semakin
